Second CD I ever bought (and I didn’t even have a CD player yet.) Purchased, I believe, at a mall while on a marching band trip. If you stare at the orange cover long enough and close your eyes, the after image is green. Released, pointedly, on election day 1988, around the same time R.E.M. endorsed Dukakis. (It didn’t sway the election.) Also, 23 years? You’re kidding.
