I found Bellflower—the story of two guys, their post-apocalyptic dream car, and their fear of women—intriguing and then distressingly distasteful. And I enjoyed Jean-Pierre Melville’s Leon Morin, Priest, a story of religious conversion and forbidden attraction set against the backdrop of occupied France.
